Hello, my friends! Welcome to this week's Testimony Tuesday! While driving the other day I noticed a row of baby ducks swimming in the water following the momma duck. This passage came to me:
Matthew 6:25-26. "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns— and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
After that, I thought: "The verse said nothing about life being easy or fair." I love to watch animal documentaries... well any documentaries as I hunger for information and truth! Often times when watching documentaries, the story highlights the violent nature of our world. Animals are always being hunted, looking for shelter, caught in traps, farmed for babies and food. As humans, we are no different. We are hunted, farmed, and caught in the "circle of life."
Recently with all the work stress, I have told myself I am only worried about the ONE paper I am working on, and all the backlogged stuff will have to wait. I am trying to rest in the peace that Jesus already went before me and knows what it will take for me to win my battle. He is not a genie that magically makes your problems disappear. He is a hero that goes before us to make a path so that we can be successful with our lives.
Take the time to rest in God's good works. He provides for all life on Earth and you are beloved and important to him. Times are tough, it's only getting worse out here, but if we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and focus on the matter at hand, we know that we will persevere.
I'm trying to walk in this faith rather than cling to my vices. Keep me in prayer, as I always pray over my readers and friends. I love you and I hope you are well fed today on God's living word. Amen.
